Supernova Remnant G54.1+0.4

This image, obtained with the Infrared Camera (IRC) onboard AKARI, shows the remnant of a supernova explosion at the end of lifecycle of a massive star. The infrared observations revealed that new stars are born near and around the supernova remnant.
