Re: Distribution of the AKARI Open Time Observation Data

Dear AKARI Open Time Observers,

As you may know, AKARI started to carry out the Open Time observations
early September. This message is to give you a rough idea of the data
distribution system and its schedule.

Observers can retrieve their data from the data archive server at ISAS via
network. Data are encrypted by the PGP pass-phrase and the key will be
given to each proposal and informed to the PI of the proposal. Technical
details of the data distribution procedures will be announced in a separate
document later. A web page is also being prepared, on which the status of
each observation will be posted.

We still need some time to complete the set up. The opening of the data
archive server is expected to be no earlier than mid-October and we will
inform you when the server system becomes available.

We would appreciate your understanding and patience.

Sincerely yours,

AKARI Helpdesk
