Changes in the AKARI/IRC Pointed Observation Images (Phase 1&2) ======================================================================== 2015/11/30 by T. Yamashita We have found that the difference of shift values for MIR-S and -L frames calculated by the current toolkit is too large in some pointed observations. Since MIR-S and -L frames were obtained simultaneously, their shift values should in principle be consistent. However, it is difficult to identify which shift values are incorrect. We thus introduce a new warning 'Wusv' for MIR stacked images with 'uncertain shift values'. This warning appears in the data package lists. Image data themselves are NOT changed. This problem will be improved by a future version of the toolkit. ======================================================================== 2015/04/30 Ver. 1.0.1 by T. Yamashita The FITS header elements 'WCSROOT' and 'WCSROOTO' of 960 image files in 639 data packages have been updated. Image data and WCS values themselves are NOT changed. Eye checking of the WCS information was incomplete for these data in the Ver. 1.0 release due to technical reasons. Additional efforts made it enable to assess the data. The FITS header element 'WCSROOT' of these files are changed from 'UNC' (uncertain or unconfirmed) to one of the following: - '2MASS' or 'WISE': matched by 2MASS/WISE catalogs (good within <1.5"), - 'WRONG': found to be wrong by eye checking. Another header element 'WCSROOTO' may be added to keep the information of WCS source. Data packages including updated image files are recreated. These files are indicated with time stamp '_201504' in their filenames. ======================================================================== 2015/03/31 Ver. 1.0 Released ========================================================================
