# fisdr FTS Release note

   Data reduction of the FIS/FTS mode (AOT FIS03) consists with
two steps; various data correction and Fourier transformation to
spectral data and calibration. The toolkit (Part 1) takes the first
part of the processing. The calibration of the reduced spectral data
is still in progress.

   Release of this toolkit does not mean that the user can handle
their data safely by themselves. As we have announced, the MP and OT
users who have the FTS mode to work closely with the FTS team to
make their data reduction most efficiently.

   Although the first part of the data reduction with the Toolkit
is rather straightforward, the whole procedures are not yet
established. Therefore we decided not to include detailed description
of the tool in the Data Users Manual (IDUM) and to provide via
a separate document. The FTS users are suggested to download and
read the document before starting.
