1. Outline of the Workshop

The primary purpose of the workshop is to verify the scientific importance of the mid and far infrared astronomy after ISO/ SIRTF/ ASTRO-F. The importance of high resolution observations with large aperture cooled telescopes will be emphasized. Key technologies to realize large aperture cooled telescopes in space will also be discussed.

One of the mission targets is the Japanese-proposed H2L2 mission, and the international collaboration is essential for the success of the mission.

The period of the workshop is two days. The main body of the program is invited talks, but contributed papers as posters are welcome.
