Targets of Opportunity

Targets of opportunity are unexpected astronomical events which are of general importance and can be observed by ISO. A typical example could be a supernova which would occur in the part of the sky visible to ISO. Targets of Opportunity are selected by the process described in the SUPPLEMENTAL CALL FOR OBSERVING PROPOSALS - POLICIES AND PROCEDURES. The observations are carried out by the Science Operations Team.
