Description

AOT SWS02 is optimized for sensitive observations of single lines in the SWS grating mode. It allows the user to observe up to 64 individual small wavelength intervals. A wavelength interval covers approximately 10 resolution elements, i.e., 3,000-1,500 km/s. The central wavelength(s)  of the intervals may be chosen anywhere in the SWS range, i.e. between 2.38 and 45.2 m. A wavelength of a line is specified by giving its vacuum rest wavelength and the source's heliocentric radial velocity .

AOT SWS02 is executed the following way:

AOT SWS02 is used for a single pointing on one target.
